Ranbir attends the Red Sea International Film Festival; expresses his desire to direct a movie now

Actor Ranbir Kapoor was in Saudi Arabia for the second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival which commenced on December 1. As soon he entered the premises of the event, fans went gaga over him. He spoke candidly at the event and expressed his desire to direct a movie in the future.

Speaking with Deadline, the 'Rockstar' actor said, 'I have always wanted to direct and make a movie. But I’ve really not mastered the courage to write a story. I have always waited for a story to come to me naturally. But the thing is that I’m not a writer, and I’m really shy when it comes to sharing my ideas with other people. But I’m working on it, and it’s something that is in my ten-year plan: To start directing movies and hopefully act in them too.'

He was also asked about his plans to work in Hollywood to which Ranbir replied that he’d never say never, but he's pretty content with the kind of opportunities that are coming his way in his country in his language. He later added that he does have a certain block in his head about acting in English. 'He'd rather act in his language because it comes naturally to him.

On the work front, Ranbir will next feature in 'Animal', directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Luv Ranjan's untitled film alongside Shraddha Kapoor.
