Rajkumar Hirani all set for OTT debut: details of Vikrant Massey starrer show inside

Director Rajkumar Hirani who has been enjoying the success of his film ‘Dunki’ seems to be gearing up for his next projects. The ace director will mark a big first with his OTT debut this year. Giving out more details about his upcoming show, Hirani said that Vikrant Massey will be part of his show. Speaking to PTI, Hirani said, “I’m doing an OTT show, which we actually start shooting this month. I’m a showrunner for that, I’m not directing it. It’s a show for Hotstar and Vikrant Massey is playing a role in it.”

Hirani is excited about his new journey. Expressing the same, he said that he is very happy about the way everything has panned out. He added, “I’m really involved and it’s in my own space.” The director also revealed that COVID-19 gave him time to sit and work on more scripts.

The director also spoke on the possibility of making the third instalment of his hit ‘Munnabhai’ series. He said that he would definitely like to make the third film but doesn’t want to make the film just for the sake of it. “There are many scripts written but none of them reached that level of greatness. I know that any 'Munnabhai' that I make will make a huge amount of money now. But I don’t want to make it for that reason," Hirani said.

‘Dunki’ director Hirani is known for his remarkable box office success. His films like ‘3 idiots’, ‘PK’ and ‘Sanju’ were huge hits and have proven his finesse as a director. His latest release ‘Dunki’ with Shah Rukh Khan has earned over ₹400 crore worldwide.
