Raj Kundra turns stand-up comedian; takes sly dig at trolls with his act | watch

Businessman Raj Kundra, who has been making headlines ever since his arrest in pornography case, ventured into stand-up comedy recently. He surprised the audience as he performed for the first time for his comedian friend Munawar Faruqui.

Wearing a mask, Raj Kundra cracked jokes on himself. He not only called himself 'Mask Man', 'Shilpa Ka Pati', and 'sasta Kanye West', but also spoke about his journey in business.

Raj Kundra's wit and humour left the audience impressed.

A movie on Raj’s time in jail

Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra is reportedly backing a project based on his time in jail. The yet-to-be-titled movie is expected to trace the entire journey of Kundra in Arthur Jail - the first reports of the allegations, media reporting, and time spent in jail to the bail.

Raj Kundra landed in a controversy in September 2021 for alleged creation and distribution of porn films through apps.

It is being speculated that Raj Kundra will make his acting debut with the project.

Sources close to the development told Hindustan Times that the project is definitely in the pipeline.

‘The project is not based on the controversy or what led to it. The project will trace his time in Arthur Road Jail, and the interactions he had inside the prison, with focus on his takeaways,’ says the source.

The project is slated to go on floors early next year.

Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police for his alleged involvement in the creation and publication of pornographic films. The scandal took place on July 19, 2021.
