Late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil will be making his screen debut with writer-filmmaker Anvitaa Dutt’s ‘Qala’. According to the news agency PTI, at the film’s trailer launch event, Babil was asked what qualities of his father he would like to take forward in his career. To this, he replied that his father took his qualities with him, and now he’ll explore his own.

Babil started shooting for the forthcoming Netflix film, a few months after his father Irrfan passed away in April 2020 after battling a neuroendocrine tumour.

At the trailer launch, Babil acknowledged that he is under a ‘lot of pressure’ and it would overwhelm him and scare him, but now it motivates him to do better and work.

‘Two years ago, when we were shooting, that time also the pressure was there. It would overwhelm me, it would scare me but now it motivates me to do better and work. The definition of pressure has changed now,’ he said.

Babil was also asked how he plans to chart his journey, and he said he will improvise with what life throws at him. Babil added wants to explore everything, and do all kinds of films and play all kinds of characters.

‘Qala’ is scheduled to release on December 1.
