Preity Zinta opens up about her IVF journey ahead of welcoming twins through surrogacy, read to know more

Bollywood star Preity Zinta, recently opened up about her struggles with IVF and the emotional challenges she faced before welcoming her twins, Gia and Jai, via surrogacy with her husband, Gene Goodenough.

In a candid conversation with Vogue, she talked about the emotional toll it took on her. 'I have good days and bad days just like everyone else. Sometimes it's a struggle to always be happy-go-lucky in real life, especially when you're going through a tough phase. I used to feel like that during my IVF cycles.'

Preity said. She admitted that maintaining a cheerful facade was difficult during these challenging times, talking about moments when she felt overwhelmed and just wanted to bang her head on the wall and cry. People forget that for women, as actors, your craft is important; you want a body of work, but family is equally important' she said, reflecting on the challenges of managing personal and professional life.

She added, 'I prefer to keep it real because that's who I am. Most of the stuff (not all) I put on social media is usually shot and edited by me, and sometimes you'll see my head is cut off or my leg is cut off in certain frames, but I'm okay with that'.

Preity Zinta's hit film 'Veer-Zaara' is set to re-release on September 13. Preity's last appearance was in the 2018 film 'Bhaiaji Superhit' opposite Sunny Deol. She is now set to star in Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming film 'Lahore 1947', which also features Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol.
