'Pathaan 2': Shah Rukh Khan to start shoot by 2024 end, Siddharth Anand won't be the director: Reports

Big update coming in for ‘Pathaan 2’. While Shah Rukh Khan is all set to raise the temperature in a brand-new avatar for the sequel, reports are emerging that the director Siddharth Anand will not be part of the project. Besides, Deepika Padukone has also been confirmed to return to the second part of the spy thriller as per the reports.

Siddharth Anand won’t direct ‘Pathaan 2’?

According to the reports, a new director will helm the much-anticipated film to bring a fresh perspective to the story. However, the director for ‘Pathaan 2’ has not yet been finalised.

Even though Siddharth Anand will not be a part of the film, this will reportedly have no impact on his partnership with Yash Raj Films. The director will continue with the upcoming ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan’ project, which will see a face-off between Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’.

SRK to begin filming by 2024 end

Aditya Chopra is preparing to kick start the project as soon as possible. Shah Rukh Khan will reprise his role as the RAW agent leading a fresh team in the film. Besides, reports are also suggesting that Shah Rukh Khan will begin the shoot by 2024 end.

Deepika Padukone to return in sequel

‘Pathaan 2’ will be the eighth film in the YRF Spy Universe with SRK and Deepika in the lead. Apart from ‘Pathaan 2’, ‘War 2’ with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR is already in the works. There is another film in the pipeline which will be headlined by Alia Bhatt and featuring Bobby Deol in a negative role.
