‘OMG 2’ trailer gets U/A certificate; CBFC suggests changing Akshay Kumar’s character: Report

The trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘OMG 2’ has finally received the U/A certificate from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC).

According to Times of India, the Censor Board wants director Amit Rai to change Akshay’s character from Lord Shiva to a Doot (messenger). The change seems to be one of the 20 changes and cuts that the Censor Board’s revision committee gave the film last week.

Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s forthcoming film has been creating a lot of stir as its story reportedly revolves around sex education.

Talking about the same, a source close to TOI said, ‘The makers are of the opinion of shifting the release date from August 11 as they want to fight against the changes suggested by the committee and also line up proper promotion of the film.’

Akshay Kumar is playing the role of Lord Shiva in ‘OMG 2’ and his first looks in the pre-release footage have already impressed fans.

The trailer of ‘OMG 2’ will be released one week before the scheduled release date of the film. As of now, the movie is scheduled to release on August 11.

‘OMG 2’ is the sequel to Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal-starrer 2012 superhit satirical comedy, ‘OMG - Oh My God!’

Directed by Amit Rai, ‘OMG 2’ also stars Arun Govil, Govind Namdeo, and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
