No, Thank you!: Rhea Kapoor tells brands not to approach her for 'Karwa Chauth' collabs

Filmmaker and designer Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani's wedding in August was quite the hush-hush affair. But with Karwa Chauth around the corner, many brands seem to have been approaching Rhea Kapoor for collaborations. In an Instagram post, Rhea Kapoor made her position on the ritual of Karwa Chauth clear.

She told brands not to reach out to her for karva chauth gifting or collabs, adding that it's not something Karan or she believes in.

She went on to say, "We respect other couples who partake and can even enjoy the festivities while they do. It's just not for me. Or us. So the last thing I want to do is promote something I don't believe in and don't really agree with the spirit it comes from."

She also shut down trolls who called her 'silly' for not following the ritual. Rhea wrote, "I only write this because it seems random strangers feel the need to aggressively convince me that I'm being ‘silly’, ‘have to do it’, 'it's my first'. No, thank you. let's move on?"

Rhea Kapoor got married to long time boyfriend Karan Boolani in a dreamy ceremony at her father Anil Kapoor's bungalow in Juhu on August 14, which was attended by family members and a few close friends.
