New mom Deepika Padukone shares ‘burnout & sleep deprivation’ are affecting her decision-making

New mom Deepika Padukone recently shared insights into coping with sleep deprivation and burnout following the birth of her daughter with Ranveer Singh.

During the Live Love Laugh Foundation Lecture Series on World Mental Health Day 2024, the actor opened up about how these challenges are impacting her decision-making.

‘When you are sleep-deprived or burnt out the decisions that you make and I think sometimes I can actually feel it. I know on particular days when I am feeling stressed or burnt out because I haven’t slept enough or practice my self-care rituals…I can tell that my decision-making is getting affected to some extent,’ Deepika said.

During the conversation, Deepika Padukone also discussed the importance of handling criticism, emphasizing that while it's normal to feel negative emotions like pain or anger, it’s crucial to learn from them. She shared, ‘It’s human to feel extreme emotions, but the key is how you deal with that criticism and use it positively to work on yourself. You need to put in the effort and be patient.’

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone reunited for Singham Again after more than six years. Their last film together was Padmaavat in January 2019.

In Singham Again, Ranveer reprises his role as Simmba, while Deepika portrays Shakti. It remains uncertain if they’re paired romantically in the film. Set to release on Diwali, Singham Again marks their exciting comeback.

Unfortunately, Deepika couldn’t attend the trailer launch. Although fans were disappointed, Ranveer shared that she sent her love. He explained that Deepika couldn’t make it due to taking care of their newborn, but added that he takes charge of the night duties.
