Neeraj Chopra wins Olympic silver: Vicky Kaushal, R Madhavan, and more celebs congratulate him

India's Neeraj Chopra secured the silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 on August 8. Following his historic achievement, celebrities such as Vicky Kaushal, R Madhavan, Rakul Preet, and others extended their best wishes.

Neeraj narrowly missed out on gold, which went to Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who set a new record with a 92.97m throw. This marks Neeraj's second Olympic medal.

Vicky Kaushal was amongst the first few celebrities to wish Neeraj. He shared a photo of him holding the National Flag and wrote, ‘Season Best performance. You always make us proud’.

R Madhavan shared a screenshot of the scorecard and congratulated Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem and Neeraj Chopra.

He wrote, 'What a wonderful match congratulations on Olympic record @arshadnadeem29 and the silver medal @neeraj_chopra guys the sport won today.. (sic).'

Rakul Preet Singh congratulated Neeraj for winning his second Olympic medal. 'Woohoo! Neeraj, you've done it again! Congratulations on securing your second Olympic medal! India beams with pride! (sic),' she wrote.

Telugu director and actor Rahul Ravindran witnessed the winning moment from Paris. He shared some photos from the venue and thanked Neeraj 'The Mailman' Chopra for making August 8 a special memory.

Will be bugging my grandkids no end on my deathbed with the story of a Parisian evening on the 8th August of 2024. “When thatha was at the stadium(s) to witness two Indian medals on the same day, a World Record and an Olympic Record.” Today will be a magical memory!
