‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ box office collection Day 2: Film crosses Rs 10 crore within 2 days of release

Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ has released in theatres on Friday. The film started off well, earning Rs 7 crore on its opening day, however, it witnessed a drop on day 2 at the box office. Nevertheless, the romantic drama has minted Rs 11 crore so far.

‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ day 2 collection

After an impressive opening, Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s film saw a dip in box office collection on Saturday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the film has earned over Rs 11 crore nett in India so far.

‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ have reportedly collected Rs 4.50 crore on day 2 taking the total collection to over Rs 11 crore. The film witnessed an overall 20.13 % occupancy on Saturday. Despite the dip, the film seems to be holding well and might take the overall first weekend collection to around Rs 16 crore.

A big factor behind Friday’s number being better was the special ticket prices on Cinema Lovers Day, which is why many of the moviegoers chose to watch the film on the first day of its release.

About ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’

Directed by Sharan Sharma, ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ is a romantic sports drama. The film follows the love story of a newly married couple and their love for cricket. A failed cricketer turns coach for his doctor wife and helps her pursue her passion for cricket. The film has received overall positive response from the audience.

Janhvi Kapoor is collaborating for the second time with director Sharan Sharma after ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ and with Rajkumar Rao after ‘Roohi’. The film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
