Manoj Bajpayee reveals his wife asked him to 'stop doing films for money'; here's why

Actor Manoj Bajpayee, whose latest film ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ is now streaming on Zee5, shared that his wife, Shabana Raza, felt humiliated after watching him romance his heroine in one of his films and asked him to ‘stop doing films for money’.

Without naming the film, Manoj said that when Shabana went to watch the movie in the theatre, there were a few girls sitting behind her who were ‘laughing’ at him.

‘As it was literally a bad film’. After the film she called me and I asked how she liked the film, and she said, ‘Stop doing films for money. It was embarrassing, I felt insulted, humiliated in the theatre, don’t ever do it, please! You are good at stories and characters, please choose them, not these films, you don’t need to prove anything else, ’ he shared.

Manoj said that it was great advice even though it came in the form of scolding.
Manoj also shared that while watching 'Satyameva Jayate', his wife was laughing out loud during the climax sequence, even though it wasn’t supposed to be funny.

'Shabana was laughing when she saw the climax, so I asked her why she’s laughing, she said, ‘I am finding it quite hilarious, the way you are acting’ he recalled.

‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ premiered on June 25 on Zee 5 and received a positive response from netizens as well as critics.
