Malaika and Amrita Arora’s father Anil Mehta called them hours before his passing, 'I feel sick & tired'

The internet is abuzz with the tragic news of Anil Mehta, the father of Malaika and Amrita Arora, passing away. The investigation officer hinted towards an alleged suicide but new details have emerged. Just hours before his death, it is reported that Anil Mehta called his daughters, telling them he felt 'sick' and 'tired,' according to India Today.

Joyce Arora, wife, shared that she had been living with Anil for the past few years despite their divorce. She was the only one present with him when the incident occurred. Joyce mentioned that Anil used to sit on the balcony each morning reading the newspaper. On September 11, when she saw his slippers in the living room and could not find him on the balcony, she became concerned. She heard a commotion and saw the watchman calling for help, discovering the tragic situation. Joyce added that Anil had no health problems, only some knee pain.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Raj Tilak Roshan stated that the case is being investigated. Initially, it seems to be a suicide, but the investigation is ongoing.

Malaika Arora released a heartfelt statement on Wednesday evening, saying, 'We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.'
