‘Liger’ team wishes boxing legend Mike Tyson on his birthday

Karan Johar took to Instagram to wish boxing champion, Mike Tyson, on the occasion of his birthday. The filmmaker shared a video featuring him and lead stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, extending their warm wishes to the legend.

Last year, Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce the Bollywood debut of 'king of the ring' and welcomed him to the 'Liger' team. The details of Mike's character in the film are yet to be disclosed. However, as per the teaser released in May, it appears that Mike Tyson will clash with Deverakonda's character in the boxing ring.

'Liger' was initially scheduled to hit the theatres on September 9 but its release was postponed due to the rising Covid-19 cases at that time. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday have recently resumed the shoot for the film.

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film will also feature Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, and Vishu Reddy in pivotal roles. 'Liger' has been co-produced by Charmme Kaur along with the director's production house Puri Connects. The film will release in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Its release date is yet to be announced.
