Kriti Sanon answers the criticism on 'Adipurush' VFX quality after movie dates pushed to June next year

Om Raut's ‘Adipurush’ was massively trolled for its poor VFX and wrong depiction of Hindu dieties after its teaser was unvieled in October. Now, Kriti Sanon had addressed the backlash at an event, saying the film’s team is ‘extremely proud of’ the product it has created.

The film’s director recently announced that they are pushing the release date from January 12 to June 16 next year.

During the promotion of her forthcoming movie ‘Bhediya’, Kriti she was asked about the delay in the release date of 'Adipurush' and the actor said, ‘As Om Raut, my director, has mentioned in the note that was brought out, it is a film that we all are extremely proud of. It is a film which is of grand canvas; it is a part of our history and is extremely important. It needs to be put out in the right way and in the best possible way because that’s what he (Om) also had envisioned.’

Kriti further said, ‘So a one minute 35 second teaser came out. There is a lot more to the film that he (Om) needs to work upon, and needs time. We all want to give it the best shot because this is an opportunity to get our history, to get our religion globally out there.’
After facing criticism, the makers have decided to give the team some time to work on the VFX.

'Adipurush' is based on Hindu mythological epic Ramayan. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.

Kriti’s next film ‘Bhediya will release on November 25. She will also be seen in ‘Shehzaada’, co-starring Kartik Aaryan.
