‘Koffee With Karan’: Samantha Ruth Prabhu on her split with Naga Chaitanya: ‘There are hard feelings’

'Koffee With Karan 7': Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akshay Kumar were at their unfiltered best on Thursday’s episode of ‘Koffee With Karan 7’. Samantha, who made her debut on the most-talked about the show, was an absolute surprise package. The actor talked about her separation from former husband Naga Chaitanya and the rumours that followed.

Speaking with Karan Johar, Samantha confessed that life has been hard after her separation from Naga Chaitanya. However, she is now stronger than she has ever been. ‘It has been hard. But it’s good now. It’s fine. I am stronger than I have ever been,’ she said.

When Karan further questioned her if there are any hard feelings, the actor replied, ‘Are there hard feelings like if you put us both in a room, you have to hide sharp objects? Yeah, as of now, yes.’

She said the situation between them is not amicable right now, but maybe sometime in the future, it could be.

Samantha also talked about the social media trolling that she had to face after her divorce from Naga. She said, ‘So, I couldn't really complain about it because I chose that path, I chose to be transparent and I chose to reveal a lot of my life. And, when the separation happened, I couldn't be too upset about it because they invested in my life and it was my responsibility to have answers which I didn't at that point of time. I think I came out of it okay, better than okay.’

During the episode, ‘The Family Man 2’ actor was asked about the most bizarre rumour she heard post her divorce. Samantha mentioned that there were reports that stated she took ₹ 250 crore as alimony. She laughed about waiting for Income Tax officials after these reports surfaced.

Realising that her relationship with Naga had become a dominant topic of the show, Samantha told Karan that she had a bone to pick with him. She said that he was the reason for unhappy marriages. She stated that he has portrayed life to be K3G (Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham), while the reality is K.G.F.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya married in 2017. They announced their separation on social media in a joint statement last year.
