‘Koffee With Karan 8’: Sara Ali Khan shares why she doesn’t believe in designer clothes

Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday appeared on the third episode of Karan Johar's ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 8 and made some intriguing revelations.

During the show, Sara, who is known for her comfortable fashion choices, expressed her reluctance to wear designer clothes.

The host asked Sara Ali Khan if her distinctive fashion choices were a conscious effort to appear relatable or if they genuinely reflected her personality.

The actor acknowledged her ownership of designer bags and shoes but said she doesn't believe in wearing designer clothes.

She said, ‘It is not like I don't have designer bags and shoes. I don't believe in wearing designer clothes because I look fine in Zara. I feel I have the confidence to carry it off.’

Sara continued, ‘I don't do it to come across as relatable, but maybe what I need to be aware of is that I am an actor and I have a good amount of followers on Instagram. It's important because I am putting myself out there. So, perceptions are key.’

Sara added, ‘What I should be careful of is that I shouldn't come across as lazy; I shouldn't come across as unkept, so maybe I don't need oil in my hair, but I don't think I will ever say, 'Oh, I need a blow dry; I am going to the airport.' I find that ridiculous, and I am not going to apologize for that either.’

Sara Ali Khan recently made a cameo appearance in a song in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. Her next cinematic outing is ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, which is poised for a theatrical release later this year. She also has ‘Metro In Dino…’ in the pipeline.
