Kiara Advani talks about slap-scene from 'Kabir Singh'; says it was ‘blown out of proportion’

Kiara Advani is one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood. She came into the limelight after her remarkable performance in the 2016 biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. Her 2019 film ‘Kabir Singh’, co-starring Shahid Kapoor, received mixed reviews, but her character Preeti became popular among the masses.

Recently in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor talked about the much-debated slap scene in the film and said that it was ‘blown out of proportion. She said that for her ‘Kabir Singh’ is a love story and the thing about love is that it’s the only thing that will allow you to forgive certain behaviors in life.

Kiara further mentioned that her character Preeti left Kabir after the slap scene which people tend to forget about. She said that a few people were of the opinion that Preeti shouldn’t have gone back to Kabir, but it was her love that made her make the move.

‘But I feel that this is what made heart at the end and that’s what love does. Although at the end of the day it’s just a film and just a story,’ she said.

‘Kabir Singh’ is an official Hindi remake of Telugu film, ‘Arjun Reddy’ which starred Vijay Deverakonda.
