The opening ceremony of the inaugural Women’s Premier League took place on Saturday at Mumbai’s Dr. DY Patil Stadium. The audience there witnessed powerful performances from Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, and AP Dhillon.

The opening ceremony of the inaugural Women’s Premier League took place on Saturday at Mumbai’s Dr. DY Patil Stadium. The audience there witnessed powerful performances from Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, and AP Dhillon. Videos and pictures from the event have surfaced online.
Kiara Advani danced to singer Hardy Sandhu's ‘Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0’, which is originally from her film ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ alongside Vicky Kaushal. She donned a shimmery pink costume with silver boots for her act. The video of her performance has been shared by the official Twitter handle of WPL.

Kriti Sanon performed the hook step from her dance number ‘Thumkeshwari’ from her film, ‘Bhediya’, which also starred Varun Dhawan. She enlightened the audience with her energetic dance moves.

Singer-rapper AP Dhillon crooned his hit tracks, including ‘Brown Munde’. He delivered a spectacular performance, surrounded by background dancers. A video that has surfaced online shows fans at the stadium cheering for him during his performance.

The Women's Premier League 2023 will have a total of 20 league matches and two Playoff games that will be played within a duration of 23 days. It started with a clash between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. The Final of WPL will be played at the Brabourne Stadium on March 26.
