‘KGF’ star Yash offered 2 Bollywood films, ‘Brahmastra 2’, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Karna’: Reports

Kannada actor Yash became a household name after the massive success of ‘KGF: Chapter One’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Following this, many filmmakers have been keen to get him on board for their forthcoming projects.

If the latest reports are to be believed, Yash has been offered two big-budget Bollywood films - Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Karna’, a mythological epic based on Mahabharata, and Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra 2’.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that ‘Yash knows about the expectations of the audience and he doesn’t want to let them down, which is primarily the reason why he is taking his own time to lock the next project. He is loaded with offers by filmmakers from all industries, but it’s a matter of zeroing down on something that appeals to everyone and does justice to the legacy of KGF 2.’

The source further revealed that Yash has been offered to play the powerful character of Dev in ‘Brahmastra 2’. However, Yash is yet to give a go-ahead to either of the projects.

The actor is expected to make up his mind by January 2023 i.e., his birthday.

Various other names like Ranveer Singh and Hrithik Roshan have also been doing the rounds in the media for playing the role of Dev in ‘Brahmastra’ sequel. However, the makers are yet to confirm any of the reports.

The makers have reportedly also discussed the idea with Ranbir Kapoor to play a double role in ‘Brahmastra 2’.

Earlier, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Ayan talked about ‘Bhramastra- Part Two: Dev’ and said that he plans to release the film in three years. He mentioned that the basic storyline of part two and part three has always been in place.
