Kartik Aaryan on doing films like 'Kantara': 'I would love to do rooted, grounded films'

Actor Kartik Aaryan is one of the most bankable stars in Bollywood. He has delivered one of the highest-grossing films of 2022, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he would like to do a film like Rishab Shetty’s 'Kantara'.

In a conversation with Zoom, Kartik said, 'I would love to do rooted, grounded films, I am completely desi. My blood is completely desi. I love watching such films and would love to do such films as well.'

The Kannada film 'Kantara' has received immense praise from all quarters. The film, which was released in cinemas on September 30, was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 16 crore. It made a gross collection of Rs 400 crore at the ticket booths. The Kannada film was dubbed in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film, 'Shehzada', co-starring Kriti Sanon. He also has 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' alongside Kiara Advani and 'Aashiqui 3' in the pipeline.
