Karan Johar to start shooting his passion project, 'Takht' post 'Rock Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'

Much to the excitement of his fans, filmmaker Karan Johar has said that he will make Takht, which he had said 'has a piece of his heart'.

In 2019, Johar had announced the making of the Takht and a star cast of Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar had left the fans intrigued.

But the subsequent coronavirus pandemic had rumor mills buzzing, with many reports saying the producer director had to shelf the mega-project. Johar had however refuted the reports.
Johar’s latest interview to an entertainment portal has his fans excited yet again. Reiterating that Takht is his passion, the filmmaker said that he will commence the shoot after wrapping up ‘Rocky Aur Ranu Ki Prem Kahani’.

Karan also revealed that he took almost two and a half years to prep up for the film which is an epic period drama set in the Mughal era.

Currently, fans are eagerly waiting for Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani.' The movie also stars legendary actors like Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in the lead roles.
