At a recent event, Kajal said that the South industry is &lsquo;very friendly&rsquo; and she prefers the eco-system they provide in terms of their discipline, values, and ethics, which she feels is lacking in Hindi cinema.
Speaking at the News 18 Rising India Summit 2023, Kajal said, &lsquo;There are a lot of people who want to start their career in Hindi because it is a more nationwide recognised language. Having said that, yes the south is a very friendly industry, it&rsquo;s very accepting, there are fabulous technicians in the south, wonderful directors and phenomenal content that is generated over all four languages- Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.&rsquo;
She added, &lsquo;And of course, Hindi has been our mother tongue. We have grown up watching Hindi movies. It has been accepting and has been very kind to me as well. But I prefer the eco-system, the ethics, the values, the discipline of the south industry, which I feel is lacking in Hindi cinema.&rsquo;
Kajal grew up in Mumbai, but for her, the feeling of home is Hyderabad and Chennai. Kajal made her debut in Telugu films in 2007 with &lsquo;Lakshmi Kalyanam&rsquo;. She then appeared in hits like &lsquo;Magadheera&rsquo;, &lsquo;Arya 2&rsquo;. In Bollywood, she is best known for her work in Rohit Shetty&rsquo;s &lsquo;Singham&rsquo;, alongside Ajay Devgn. She will next be seen in the Tamil film &lsquo;Indian 2&rsquo; with Kamal Haasan.

Many political outfits called for a boycott of the film over Deepika&rsquo;s saffron costume. Now, months after the film&rsquo;s release, director Siddharth Anand has opened up about why he chose the saffron bikini for the song. Speaking at the News18 Rising India summit 2023, he said that he chose the costume &lsquo;randomly&rsquo; and &lsquo;never gave it too much thought.&rsquo;
&lsquo;The colour was looking nice. It was sunny, the grass was greener and the water was blue and the orange colour was looking good. We thought when the audience would watch it they would understand that our intent was not wrong,&rsquo; he said.
The director further said the boycott calls were &lsquo;white noise&rsquo; and they were &lsquo;not scared.&rsquo; Siddharth appreciated how the audience flocked to the theatres when the film was released and proved the whole boycott movement wrong.
&lsquo;And when you are calling for a boycott of a star or a movie, you are not seeing how many people&rsquo;s livelihood is dependent on that particular movie especially if it works. At least three hundred people work on a film every day. And when the shoot gets over so many VFX artists work on the post production. It&rsquo;s very easy to say boycott, that too, without reason,&rsquo; he said. &lsquo;Pathaan&rsquo; earned over 1000 crore worldwide, with Rs 657.25 crore in the domestic market.

'Bholaa', starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, was released in theatres on March 30, 2023. The film narrates the story of a former prisoner Bholaa who is released from jail after 10 years. As he heads to meet his young daughter, he's arrested mid-way. He then joins forces with a police officer (Tabu) to protect a drug consignment from a gang of criminals. Directed by Ajay himself, the film has put up a decent box office score on Day 1.
Film analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box-office collection on Twitter and wrote, '#Bholaa puts up a decent score on Day 1 [#RamNavmi]&hellip; Healthy footfalls during spot bookings - towards evening shows specifically - compensate for the low turnout in morning + noon shows&hellip; Thu ₹ 11.20 cr. #India biz.'

&lsquo;Bholaa&rsquo; also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, and Vineet Kumar. Amala Paul and Abhishek Bachchan have cameo appearances. The music is by &lsquo;K.G.F&rsquo; composer Ravi Basrur and the cinematography is by Aseem Bajaj. &lsquo;Bholaa&rsquo; is the official remake of Lokesh Kanagraj's Tamil film &lsquo;Kaithi&rsquo;.

Sharing a beautiful picture of herself, she penned a long note that read, &lsquo;We see very few older women in the public eye. It&rsquo;s not something I thought about when I was young, but now that I myself am silver-haired, I feel their absence.&rsquo;

Actor Urvashi Rautela is not a part of Rishab Shetty's Kannada film, 'Kantara 2'. A source close to the production house, Hombale Films told Hindustan Times, 'All the rumours around Urvashi Rautela cast in Kantara 2 are totally baseless and untrue.'
The source added, 'Recently, Urvashi Rautela just happened to be on the same premises as Rishab Shetty, where she requested to meet the Kantara fame and he politely obliged. She posted the picture clicked with him with a cryptic caption, giving rise to these completely false rumours.'
Earlier, Urvashi Rutela shared a picture with Rishab Shetty on her Instagram and captioned her post, 'Kantara 2 loading' after this, the rumours of her being part of the film have taken the internet by storm.
