Kangana Ranaut praises Tabu, says 'actor single-handedly saving the Hindi film industry'

Actor Kangana Ranaut, who is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film 'Emergency', recently praised Tabu for her performance in her latest release 'Drishyam 2'. The 'Queen' actor took her Instagram stories and wrote that Tabu is ‘single-handedly’ saving Bollywood with her talent and consistency and she is 'slaying in her 50s'

'Only two Hindi films have worked this year – Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Drishyam 2… and both films have superstar Tabu ji in central roles, slaying in her 50s… single-handedly saving the Hindi film industry. Her talent and consistency have never been questioned but to look her best and reach the peak of her stardom in her fifties is commendable. I think women deserve much more credit for their unwavering dedication to their work… Such an inspiration,' the 'Panga' actor wrote.

Tabu's 'Drishyam 2', co-starring Ajay Devgn, was released on November 18, and it received the second biggest opening for a Bollywood film in 2022. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film earned ₹15.38 crore at the domestic box office on its day 1 and did a business of ₹21.59 crore on its second day.

Tabu’s other release 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2', co-starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, also saw an impressive opening day collection of ₹14 crores. The film earned more than ₹266 crores worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2022.

On the work front, besides 'Emergency', Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film 'Tejas'. She has also confirmed that she will portray theatre artist 'Noti Binodini,' in her upcoming movie.
