‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ opens at Rs. 9.28 cr, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ leads with day 1 collection of Rs. 14.11 cr

The Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani's ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ managed to collect Rs. 9.28 cr on day 1. The entire starcast was seen promoting the film since last few days.

Even though ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ collected Rs. 9.28 cr on day 1, it's still less than the day 1 collections of films like Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, Akshay’s ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and also the Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, which made a decent Rs. 14.11 cr. on its first day.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ has consistently maintained its lead at the box office despite the release of films like Ranveer Singh’s ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and even Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Anek’.

Besides Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and the social media star Prajakta Koli, who makes her debut with this film.
