Jaya Bachchan calls the paparazzi 'intruders' as they try to take pictures outside Pratiksha on Diwali

Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan performed Lakshmi pooja with family at their bungalow Pratiksha in Juhu, Mumbai on the occasion of Diwali. A video is being widely shared on social media in which Jaya is seen shooing away the paparazzi stationed outside their home, calling them 'intruders' as they try to capture the Bachchan family’s Diwali celebrations.

‘Kaise flash kar rahe hai aap (how are you using flash on your camera for taking pictures)? Intruders,’ she was heard saying. One of the people gathered outside, presumed to be a cameraman, then said in Hindi, ‘Switch off the cameras…’

Several netizens have reacted to Jaya’s latest interaction with the media. One user wrote, ‘Guys leave her alone… You unnecessarily waste your time…’

Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya were spotted arriving together for the Diwali 2022 puja. They all wore ethnic outfits for the festivities.

Jaya Bachchan has often talked about her discomfort with paparazzi clicking her pictures at different events. Recently, speaking with granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda on her podcast ‘What The Hell Navya’, Jaya said, ‘I hate it. I despise it. I despise the people who interfere in your personal life and fill their stomachs by selling those products. I hate it, I'm disgusted with such people. I always tell them, I say, ‘Aapko sharam nahi aati hai (Don’t you feel ashamed?)'.’

Earlier, Jaya and Navya attended the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai and while clicking their picture, a paparazzo fell down, and Jaya said, ‘Serves you well. I hope you double and fall.’
