‘Jawan’ song ‘Chaleya’ creates history on Spotify India; breaks record for most streams in a day

Not just the box office, Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ is also ruling the music charts. Its romantic number ‘Chaleya’ has broken the record for the most streams in a day for a song on Spotify India.

On September 11, ‘Chaleya’ was streamed over 2 million times on the music platform, ranking number one across the country.

According to Kworb.net, the number increased to 2.3 million a day later, and 2.4 million the day after that. The daily global chart is led by Doja Cat’s ‘Paint the Town Red’ with 7.4 million streams, while ‘Chaleya’ secures the 27th spot.

Jungkook’s ‘Seven’ is at the second spot, followed by Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire.’

The most popular Indian songs on the platform are ‘Maan Meri Jaan,’ by King (328 million streams), followed ‘Raataan Lambiyan’ from the film Shershaah, with 311 million streams, and AP Dhillon’s ‘Excuses,’ with 302 million streams.

‘Chaleya’ has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao.

‘Jawan’ has minted Rs 328 crore in India in seven days and it is expected pass the Rs 700 crore worldwide gross figure soon.
