Jackky Bhagnani reveals Akshay Kumar has put his own payment on hold until cast & crew members are paid

Makers of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ are reportedly reeling under major financial crisis. Several cast and crew members have come forward alleging non-payment of dues. In the latest development, Jackky Bhagnani has revealed that Akshay Kumar met him to express solidarity.

Jackky Bhagnani revealed that Akshay Kumar met him and has asked him to put his own payment on hold until all the cast and crew members receive their full and final payments. “Akshay sir didn’t hesitate to step forward and show his support for the crew. He has insisted that his payments be placed on hold until every single cast and crew member working on our projects receives their full and final payment,” said Jackky Bhagnani in a statement.

This comes amid the massive backlash as crew members urged Akshay Kumar and other stars to speak on the matter. Akshay Kumar also faced criticism as many on social media questioned his high fees amid Pooja Entertainment’s financial woes. Multiple crew members and actors have come forward claiming non-payment of dues.

The production house, which was set up in 1986, is known for making superhit films like ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Biwi No. 1’, ‘Hero No. 1’ and ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein’. However, with a series of major flops, it has been facing a major financial crisis. The production house has seen back-to-back flops with ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Mission Raniganj’, ‘Ganapath’ and then ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ hit the final nail in the coffin and the debt has now reportedly mounted to several crores.
