ISRO launches Chandrayaan 3: Ajay Devgn Sidharth Malhotra, and others celebrate

The Indian Space Research Organisation launched India’s third lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3 on July 14. The spacecraft lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on board the Launch Vehicle Mark-III.

Soon after the launch, many celebrities took to social media to congratulate the scientists at ISRO.

Sidharth Malhotra wrote, ‘Congratulations ISRO for a spectacular launch for #Chandrayaan3 today! A proud moment for us all!’

Sonu Sood tweeted, ‘History Created.. proud moment for every Indians.’

Raveena Tandon took to Instagram and shared a video of the launch. ‘A proud moment for all of us ! Jai Hind! congratulations to all at @isro.in for a successful liftoff! Godspeed #Chandrayaan3 Har Har Mahadev!,’ she wrote.

Kunal Kapoor tweeted, ‘Such a historic moment…Congratulations to all our brilliant scientists, engineers, and technicians who have made this possible. All the best #Chandrayaan3.’

ISRO will now perform the orbit-raising maneuvers in the coming days to put the spacecraft on the road to the Moon.

Chandrayaan-3 is scheduled to arrive in lunar orbit on August 5 and the soft-landing attempt is expected by the end of the month.
