Is 'Chhello Show' a copy of Italian film 'Cinema Paradiso'? Director Pan Nalin reacts

'Chhello Show' director Pan Nalin finally reacts to the claims that said the movie is a copy of Oscar-winning Italian film 'Cinema Paradiso.'

'Chhello Show', India's official entry to the Oscars, has been making headlines over the last few days and it's not for the right reasons. There have been claims that the Pan Nalin directorial isn't an Indian film and a copy of Italian film 'Cinema Paradiso', which won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and five BAFTA awards.
Some social media users also shared the posters of 'Chhello Show' and the 1988 Italian movie to highlight how identical they were.

Now, the director finally reacted to the ongoing controversy. Taking to Twitter on Sunday, he shared the side-to-side comparison of the posters and wrote, 'Copy? Homage? Inspiration? Original? Find out yourself on 14.10.2022 in cinemas near you.'

The film has already been premiered at various film festivals.

Earlier, Film Federation of India also defended Pan Nalin's film saying it had the best chance at the Oscars.
Federation of West India Cine Employees on Friday claimed that 'Chhello Show' isn't an Indian film and that it's a copy of Italian film 'Cinema Paradiso.'
