Ira Khan marries longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare; video shows groom ties the knot in vest and shorts

Ira Khan, daughter of Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, married her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare on January 3. The wedding ceremony was attended by family and close friends.

A video of the couple registering their marriage is going viral online which shows the groom seated on stage in shorts and vest, while the bride donned a beautiful traditional lehenga.

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta stood behind the couple, offering their support and encouragement. Kiran Rao, dressed in a beautiful golden silk sari with a green blouse, was spotted capturing the special moment on her mobile phone.

Nupur also ditched the traditional baraat and chose to jog to the venue, which was 8 kilometers away. Numerous videos captured him running in the same black vest and shorts, and these clips quickly circulated on social media.

Aamir Khan, adorned in a traditional kurta and dhoti with a saafa adorning his head, warmly greeted Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani upon their arrival at the venue. Aamir and Mukesh even shared an embrace, and Aamir exchanged greetings with Nita. The trio then proceeded indoors. Nita Ambani looked radiant in an emerald green saree, and this charming moment was captured by paparazzi and shared on Instagram.

Apart from family photos, Aamir Khan also played a role in helping photographers and the newlywed couple achieve the perfect shots. Both families took turns posing for different photographers, with Aamir guiding them to ensure the best angles.

Once the family photos were complete, Aamir warmly greeted the paparazzi, shaking their hands and accepting congratulations on his daughter's wedding. He even knelt down to pose with the cameramen, capturing a memorable moment.

The night before their wedding, Nupur Shikhare embraced a traditional look. He posted several pictures with Ira Khan on January 2, expressing his love with the caption, ‘One more day of being your fiancee @khan.ira. I love you so much.’

In the photos, Ira looked elegant in a red saree and chose a minimal makeup look. In contrast, Nupur wore a red kurta paired with a golden jacket and black pyjamas.
