IPL 2024: Shah Rukh Khan celebrates KKR's victory over SRH with family; strikes signature pose

Kolkata Knight Riders clinched the IPL 2024 trophy after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final match that was held in Chennai on May 27. Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of the team, had flown down to the coastal city with his family to cheer for KKR. He was captured celebrating his team's win by planting a kiss on Gauri Khan's forehead and hugging his children Suhana, AbRam and Aryan Khan.

The actor also struck his signature pose, flashing a radiant smile that matched the team's victorious spirit.

Suhana's best friends, Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor, also at the game, shared glimpses of KKR's victory on Instagram.

Shah Rukh Khan’s appearance came just days after he was hospitalised for heat stroke and dehydration. As KKR won by 8 wickets, SRK also shook hands with everyone in the VVIP box, removed his mask, and wore his sunglasses in celebration.

Shah Rukh Khan's presence indicated that he has fully recovered and is ready to support his team, echoing what KKR co-owner Juhi Chawla had exclusively told News18 earlier. The Badshah of Bollywood wore a purple tee, while Gauri donned a KKR jersey. Having recently recovered from a heat stroke, Shah Rukh wore a mask and had a round spot band-aid on his right hand, likely covering the area where an IV cannula was inserted.

The Kolkata franchise unquestionably dominated the IPL 2024 season. With 9 wins, 3 losses, and 1 no-result, KKR displayed remarkable consistency throughout the group stage, excelling in both batting and bowling. Their strong performance carried into the playoffs, where they secured a commanding 8-wicket victory over SRH, and repeated the feat in the final.
