International Yoga Day: Shilpa Shetty, Malaika Arora & others lists the benefits of doing yoga; see posts

Bollywood celebrities have joined the rest of India to mark the occasion of the 9th International Yoga Day. Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Malaika Arora, Anupam Kher, and Alaya F are a few celebrities who shared wishes on social media.

Shilpa Shetty, who is currently on vacation, shared a video of her practicing yoga poses such as vrikshasana and natrajasana. She wrote, ‘A spark of a smile can spread the fire of happiness around us. But to be able to do so, one needs to be happy within… Make Yoga a part of your lives too, for a healthy mind, body, and soul. As they say, a healthy person is a happy person. Wishing everyone a Happy & Healthy Yoga Day. Atmanamaste!.’

Malaika Arora shared a reel listing a few points that she thinks yoga benefits us. ‘This is my point of view. What is yours? Happy international day of yoga!,’ she wrote.

Anupam Kher shared a video compiling his yoga sessions and meeting with some yoga gurus. Alaya F shared a video and wrote, ‘Celebrate the power of yoga to unite and transform! An opportunity to connect with your mind, body, and spirit. Happy International Yoga Day!’
International Yoga Day was established in December 2014 following a proposal from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.
