Income Tax raids at offices of Bollywood producers Jayantilal Gada, Vinod Bhanushali

The Income Tax department's Investigation Wing from Mumbai raided the offices of some prominent Bollywood producers on Wednesday. The searches were reportedly carried out on production company Pen Studios promoters Jayantilal Gada's offices and home. Producer Vinod Bhanushali’s offices and home were also searched.

According to the news agency ANI, the searches were carried out by the Income tax department for alleged tax evasion and financial irregularities.

Gada and his production house are said to be associated with the production or presentation of multiple big-banner films. His company Pen Studios was a presenter for SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’, co-producer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, and various other films.

Bhanushali has produced two films under his banner Bhanushali Films – ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ and ‘Atal’.
