‘Housefull 5’: Is Anil Kapoor no longer part of the film? Here’s what we know

Actor Anil Kapoor was all set to star in the highly anticipated film ‘Housefull 5’, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. But now, if reports are to be believed the actor has exited the project due to a disagreement with producer Sajid Nadiadwala over his fee.

Due to this development, Nana Patekar’s role is reportedly being revised, as his character was expected to interact closely with Kapoor's.

Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar previously collaborated in the ‘Welcome’ franchise. Neither Anil Kapoor nor the ‘Housefull 5’ team has officially commented on these reports.

The film's ensemble cast includes Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, and Dharmendra.

Anil Kapoor recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife, designer Sunita Kapoor. Their daughter, actor Sonam Kapoor, shared two photos on Instagram to mark the occasion. One picture shows the couple cutting a cake, while the other captures Sunita relaxing on a sofa. Sonam's son, Vayu, is also seen playing with a balloon. The caption read, ‘Happy happy anniversary to my anchors, to the best parents God blessed me with. I love you both.’

Anil Kapoor and Sunita's love story is quite intriguing. When Anil was a newcomer in the industry, he would spend evenings with his friends, discussing their futures in movies and joking around. One evening, a friend gave him Sunita's number to prank call her. At the time, Sunita was a successful model. Persuaded by his friends, Anil called her and instantly fell in love with her voice. They later met in person at a mutual friend's party, where they both realized they had found their perfect soulmates in each other.

The duo tied the knot on May 19, 1984.
