Sonali Bendre has been a part of the entertainment industry for over three decades. She was one of the most successful actors of 90s’ and she is an inspiration for many after her long cancer battle.

Sonali ventured into modelling after finishing schooling and soon made her film debut in 1994 with ‘Aag’. Her first commercial success was the 1996 action romance ‘Diljale’. Following this, the actor carved a successful career in the film industry by delivering a number of hit movies like ‘Major Saab’, ‘Sarfarosh’, and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. She also acted in Kannada and Telugu films.

In 2002, Sonali Bendre took a break from acting and a few years later she returned as a judge on reality shows. She recently returned to acting full time with the web series ‘The Broken News’, which premiered on Zee5 in June 2022.

Sonali was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in 2018. Fortunately, she defeated the ailment with the blessings of her family, friends and fans, and is leading a healthy life.
