Aditi Rao Hydari has mesmerised the audience with her acting skills and royal looks. She is one of the top choices for directors in today’s time. The actor has worked in several Hindi, Telugu and Tamil movies. Some of her best works include, ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, ‘Psycho’, ‘London, Paris, New York’ and ‘Padmaavat’.

Belongs to two royal lineages

From paternal side, Aditi is the great-granddaughter of Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, who was the former Prime Minister of Hyderabad province. From maternal side, she is the granddaughter of Raja J Rameshwar Rao, who headed the Wanaparthi royal family.
Aditi is half Hyderabadi and half Konkani. Her father is a Bohri Muslim and mother is a Mangalorean.

Bharatnatyam dancer

Aditi is a qualified Bharatnatyam dancer. She took up the traditional dance form at the age of six and was the disciple of famous and acclaimed Bharatnatyam dancer Leela Samson.

Made her acting debut in Tamil

Aditi made her acting debut with Tamil period drama, titled as ‘Sringaram’, in which she played the role of a Devadasi. This was her first project, but her first film to release in theaters was the Malayalam film ‘Prajapathi’ in which she shared the screen space with Mammootty.

Kept marriage under wraps
Aditi was married to actor Satyadeep Mishra when she was just 21 years old. She denied being in relationship with him for quite some time, but in an interview in 2013 she accepted her marital status and said that they were now separated. The duo has remained close friends over the years.

Playback singer

Besides being an accomplished actor and dancer, Aditi has also tried her hands on playback singing. She took a shot at singing in her 2012 romantic comedy film ‘London, Paris, New York’, alongside Pakistani singer Ali Zafar. The two songs with her vocals were ‘Dekhne mein seedhi saadhi’, and the romantic pop-rock number ‘Thehree si zindagi’
