Guneet Monga’s wedding invitation has a filmy twist as it is inspired by her favourite film ‘DDLJ’ and has iconic elements such as a train and ‘sarson ke khet’.

Guneet Monga's wedding invite includes iconic elements from ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’

Filmmaker Guneet Monga is all set to tie the knot on December 12 and her wedding invitation is now going viral on the internet which is unique and inspired from the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge'.

The invite has film’s iconic elements such as a red 'Punjab Mail' train that has ‘Guneet weds Sunny’ written on the last bogey. It also features two hands holding each other inside a train and ‘sarson ke khet’ drawn around the edges to reflect the film and its impact on their love story.

The text on the invitation reads ‘Sometimes, the wrong train takes you to the right station. Welcome to our right station....’

Earlier, Guneet shared an adorable picture with fiancé Sunny Kapoor and penned a long note to show how fascinated she was with the film. A few eminent celebrities praised her for her post. She stared the note with ‘DDLJ ruined me… Like every girl growing up in the 90s, I too have been on a constant lookout for my Raj ever since I was 18.’ She also mentioned that she had cursed her job, looks and intelligence for not getting a better half till her 30s. She also mentioned that she tried to miss the last Euro train to create the iconic ‘DDLJ’ scene.

On the work front, producer Guneet Monga has backed some critically acclaimed films such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘Masaan’, ‘Zubaan’ and ‘Pagglait’.
