Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was reportedly taken to the hospital on October 1st morning after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with his own licensed revolver. According to News18 report, the incident happened around 4:45 AM while he was inspecting the weapon before leaving to catch an early morning flight to Kolkata.

Initial reports suggest that the bullet hit his knee, leading to urgent medical attention at a Mumbai hospital. Govinda was admitted to the hospital at 5:15 AM and is now reported to be out of danger, according to hospital officials.

‘Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the cupboard when it fell from his hand and a bullet got fired which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now,’ his manager told ANI.

Govinda, a celebrated actor and Shiv Sena leader, is known for his impeccable comic timing and energetic performances in Bollywood films. Born on December 21, 1963, he made his acting debut in the 1986 film Tan-Badan, but it was his role in Coolie No. 1 that catapulted him to stardom.

With a career spanning over three decades, he has delivered numerous hits, including Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Swarg, and Partner, showcasing his versatility in both comedy and drama.

His unique style and charisma have earned him a dedicated fan base, making him a prominent figure in Indian cinema. In recent years, however, Govinda took a hiatus from acting after the commercial failure of his 2019 film Rangeela Raja. Despite this, his legacy as a comedy icon remains firmly entrenched in Bollywood, and he continues to be remembered for his contributions to the film industry.
