From 'Citadel: Honey Bunny' to 'Pataal Lok 2': Prime Video India announces slate for 2024

Prime Video India has released its slate for 2024. At the ‘Are You Ready’ event held in Mumbai, the streamer unveiled their list of films and series that will be released this year. The lineup featured a host of new series and films. Check out the list.

'Citadel: Honey Bunny'

Prime Video has confirmed the Indian series within the 'Citadel' universe will be called 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'. They added, "'Citadel: Honey Bunny' has a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90s. Honey Bunny is the Indian series within the Citadel universe." The show will star Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan in leading roles.

'The Rana Connection'

Actor Rana Daggubati is all set to come up with an exciting show featuring his friends and contemporaries from Indian cinema. The show is titled The Rana Connection. Taking to Instagram, Prime Video shared the news with fans and captioned the post, "An exciting and curiosity-piquing talk show hosted by celebrated actor Rana Daggubati, featuring his friends and contemporaries from Indian cinema. #TheRanaConnectionOnPrime #AreYouReady #PrimeVideoPresents."

'Daldal'

Bhumi Pednekar is all set to make her OTT series debut with Prime Video's upcoming series, 'Daldal'. The show is based on 'Bhendi Bazaar' by Vish Dhamija. "Haunted by the guilt of her past and dealing with the demons of her present, a newly-appointed DCP, Rita Ferreira, must embark on an investigation of a series of murders that puts her on a collision course with a cold-blooded serial killer," Prime Video India captioned.

'Follow Kar Lo Yaar'

Uorfi Javed is launching her own reality show, 'Follow Kar Lo Yaar'. Prime Video shared a post about the show along with a poster. The caption read, " Uorfi Javed is India’s biggest viral sensation - where she goes, drama follows! Her fame, like her clothes, are self-made but now she’s taking it all to the next level. Get to know the real Uorfi as she ups her game and her fame, while also keeping her fully dysfunctional family together."

'Be Happy'

Abhishek Bachchan will play a doting father in his next, 'Be Happy,' directed by Remo D'Souz. Sharing the first poster of the film, Prime Video captioned, "Unfold the journey of a single father and his talented daughter who aspires to perform on the country’s biggest dance reality show. Be Happy highlights the extraordinary lengths a father will go to fulfil his daughter’s dreams and find true happiness."

'Subedar'

Anil Kapoor starrer 'Subedar' will also be released on Prime Video. Directed by Suresh Triveni, the screenplay is co-written by Suresh Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar. In this adrenaline-pumping drama, Subedaar Arjun Singh (Anil Kapoor) confronts the challenges of civilian life, manoeuvring through a tense relationship with his daughter.

'Pataal Lok'

Jaideep Ahlawat's 'Pataal Lok' has finally been renewed for Season 2. Sharing the first look from the second instalment, Prime Video wrote, "Two seemingly disconnected cases get Hathiram and Ansari to work together again, sending them down the track of a nebulous conspiracy."

'Matka King'

The story of a cotton trader who starts a new gambling game that takes Mumbai by storm in the 1960s. Starring Vijay Varma, the show will be directed by Nagraj Manjule.

Also on the lineup are the much-awaited third instalments of the wildly popular shows 'Mirzapur', 'The Family Man' and 'Panchayat'.
