Farhan Akhtar and Rohit Shetty to star in 'Mission Frontline' on Discovery+

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty and actor-director Farhan Akhtar will be seen in new episodes of Mission Frontline on Discovery+.

For the show, Shetty and Farhan stepped into the shoes of a Special Operations Group soldier and the Rashtriya Rifle soldier to experience their heroic lives.

Farhan will be seen engaging in thrilling weapon training including static firing, neutralizing terrorists in the jungle, along with a search and destroy drill with the force.

He got nostalgic during the shoot and remember his days while filming Lakshya. I spent a lot of time in Ladakh mainly but now when I am here, I really feel very nostalgic about it." said Farhan.

Farhan shared that he had an "exceptionally interesting experience" and is thankful for this opportunity.

Meanwhile, during undergoing challenging skills, Rohit Shetty shared that it was like reliving his life again and that he will be going back as a new person.

He also extended his tribute to the Special Ops group for displaying their valour and courage on the field. "ek mask ke peeche rehkar, bina soye, bina thake, jaan ki parvah kiye bina, har roz ye commandos' terrorism se ladh rahe hai aur unke patriotism aur sacrifice ko dekhkar, mann se I feel like saying Thank you." said Shetty.

'Mission Frontline' previously saw stars such as Rana Daggubatti and Sara Ali Khan. It premiered on 20 January on Discovery+ original.
