‘Drishyam 2’: Ajay Devgn’s film crosses ₹100 cr mark, director hints 'Drishyam 3' will be in works soon

‘Drishyam 2’, starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran, is doing wonders at the box office. The Abhishek Pathak directorial has now entered the ₹100 crore club and with this it has found a spot on the list of the top five earners of 2022 in Hindi cinema.

Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ earned Rs 129.1 crore, ‘The Kashmir Files’ grossed Rs 252.9 crore, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ collected Rs 185.92 crore, and ‘Bhramastra’ minted Rs 257.44 crore.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘Drishyam 2’ had a terrific weekend and super-strong weekdays. The film has earned a total of 104.66 crore within a week of its release.

Actor Ajay Devgn, who is elated with the success of his latest release, took to Instagram on Friday and shared a picture from his visit to Kashi Vishwanath.

In a recent interview with ETimes, director Abhishek Pathak said that there's a demand for ‘Drishyam 3’ and ‘Drishyam 4’ and 'it shall happen' but as of now they are just happy to be crossing the 100-crore number. He said once they have some time off, they will think about what they’re going to do in the next part but as of now they are just enjoying every bit of feedback that they are receiving.

‘Drishyam 2’ is a sequel to Ajay's 2015 crime thriller ‘Drishyam’, which was the Hindi remake of the Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam movie of the same name.
