Deepika Padukone opens up on equation with Shah Rukh Khan: 'We have sense of ownership over each other'

Actor Deepika Padukone, who made a special appearance in Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Jawan', opened up about her equation with the superstar in a recent interview.

Deepika shared that she's one of the people SRK can be vulnerable with in the industry.

Speaking about SRK and their on-screen luck, Deepika told The Week, 'We are each other’s lucky charm. But honestly, we are beyond luck. We have a sense of ownership over each other.'

Deepika further added, 'I am one of the few people he is vulnerable with. There is so much trust and respect, and I think that luck is just the cherry on the top.'

Deepika began her Bollywood journey opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan’s 'Om Shanti Om'. Released in 2007, the film emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika then reunited for a special song in 'Billu' (2009). They then went on to star in 'Chennai Express (2013)' which was another big hit, and in 'Happy New Year', directed by Farah Khan.

Earlier this year, the duo shared the screen in 'Pathaan' and then Deepika made a cameo in 'Jawan' in which she portrayed the role of SRK's on-screen wife in a flashback portion of the Atlee film.

In the interview, Deepika also opened up about 'Pathaan’s Rs 1000 crore collection for the first time.

She said, 'I’ve never been fascinated by numbers whether it was Maths in school or the numbers of Pathaan. I was just happy that cinemas had come alive again, that people had come alive again. I was really grateful for that.'
