'Chhaava' enters third week, nears Rs 400 crore at box office

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna's historical action drama Chhaava continues to dominate the box office as it enters its third week.

Released on February 14, 2025, the Laxman Utekar directorial, based on the Marathi novel Chava, has enthralled audiences across the country.

The film has already amassed an impressive ₹375 crore in its first two weeks and is steadily approaching the ₹400 crore milestone.

The period drama remains strong at the ticket counters, with its day 15 earnings expected to contribute another ₹11-₹12 crore, bringing its total collection to approximately ₹386-₹387 crore.

Despite competition from new releases like Sanam Teri Kasam and Dinesh Vijan's Crazxy, Chhaava remains largely unchallenged, as the newer films are projected to earn only ₹1-₹2 crore on opening day.

With no major competitors in sight, Chhaava has cemented its status as the first blockbuster of 2025.

The film marks a career-high for Vicky Kaushal in terms of box office performance and continues to be the top choice for cinegoers, promising a strong run in its third week.
