‘Chandu Champion’ star Kartik Aaryan opens up about ‘outsider’ tag: ‘It is going to stay with me’

‘Chandu Champion’ star Kartik Aaryan opens up about ‘outsider’ tag: ‘It is going to stay with me’

Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of ‘Chandu Champion’. The actor is gaining a lot of attention for his transformation for the role in his upcoming film. While the actor’s journey has been phenomenal, he still lives with the tag of an ‘outsider’ as he doesn’t have a Bollywood connection. The actor recently opened up on his journey in Bollywood as an outsider and what has changed after over a decade.

Kartik Aaryan on ‘outsider’ tag

In an interview to Hindustan Times, Kartik Aaryan expressed gratitude and said that he is grateful about coming this far. He said, “When I started my journey in Bollywood, I didn’t know anyone here. And the way it is going on till date, things are the same. Everything’s the same for me. Some Fridays are successful and some are not. But the fact remains that I have never been an insider.”

'Any Friday can be my last one'

Despite delivering multiple hit films like, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Luka Chuppi’, and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, the actor still feels that any Friday can be his last one. “It is a mindset which is going to stay with me. Till date, I believe that any Friday can be a last Friday also. This is the echo that keeps on going in my mind. Ke kahin mera pack up na ho jaaye,” he said.

'I don't have a backup'

Opening about his fear, Kartik said that he does not have any backup and is well aware that he might not get another chance. “Maybe, somewhere down the line, I (know that I) don't have any other backup. I don't have anywhere else to go, and I might not get a second or a third chance. This is the fear that is constant in my head,” he says. Kartik added that his journey in Bollywood has been an open book, and he is proud of it.
