Singer Shaan made his debut at the Cannes Film Festival with his son Maahi. He interacted with the Times of India from the French Riveria and said, ‘I am so glad to be a part of the film festival this year. This is my first time here, so I’m very curious and extremely excited.’

At the 77th edition of the prestigious film festival, Shaan introduced his son Maahi, who performed on stage on May 16 and is set for another performance on May 17.

‘I am introducing three new pop stars at Cannes this year, one of them is my son. Maahi has already released his first song and is about to release his second, which has been produced by my other son, Soham. The special performance of Maahi at Cannes gives me a great opportunity to witness this wonderful festival which I have never seen before,’ Shaan said.

The singer, who is also accompanied by his wife Radhika, added that they are spending quality time at Cannes as a family.

He said, ‘Being here with my sons and my wife Radhika is great. We are looking forward to the whole experience of the red carpet here and the performances and the whole festival. I am hoping to catch some films too.’

For years, Shaan has captivated audiences with his soulful voice. The acclaimed playback singer is known for numerous chart-toppers like ‘Behti Hawa Sa Tha Who’ and ‘Chaand Sifarish’.

Earlier this year, the singer performed with his son Maahi at an event and warmed hearts.

The video begins with Maahi singing the classic Kishore Kumar song ‘Mere Samne Wali Khidki Mein’. A text overlay reads, ‘1st time ever singer Shaan with his son Maahi.’ Soon, Shaan joins him, continuing the melodious song.

Social media users reacted to the soothing performance. The performance also caught the attention of music legend Shankar Mahadevan, who noted, ‘So amazing! Am so thrilled to see this.’
