Cannes 2024: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes grand entry in a black and golden butterfly gown | watch

Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returned to the Cannes red carpet with another dramatic look. She received the loudest cheers as she walked the red carpet with her injured hand in a black and golden Falguni Shane Peacock gown that featured white-coloured puff sleeves and an elaborate train.

She kept her look simple and elegant with loosely tied hair and golden hoops.

The actor, representing the beauty brand L'Oreal at the festival, attended the screening of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis.

Aishwarya exuded glamour, smiling at the paparazzi and waving to the cheering crowd. Despite an injury to her right arm, she looked effortless and regal. In various clips, Aaradhya Bachchan is also seen walking beside her mother as they made their way out of the hotel.

Aishwarya arrived for the 77th Cannes Film Festival along with her daughter Aaradhya on May 16. The mother-daughter duo received a warm welcome at the French Riviera, with a bouquet presented to them at the prestigious international film festival. The host also embraced Aaradhya upon recognizing her. Aishwarya expressed gratitude for the hospitality while the host bowed before her.

On May 15th evening, Aishwarya Rai was spotted at the Mumbai airport with her daughter. Both looked stylish as they headed to the French Riviera. Paparazzi videos showed Aishwarya’s right arm in a sling, while Aaradhya sweetly assisted her mother by holding her bag. Aishwarya wore black trousers and a long blue overcoat, while Aaradhya donned black joggers and a white sweatshirt. As they entered the international terminal, Aishwarya and Aaradhya were warm to the paparazzi.

Aishwarya marked her 21st appearance at Cannes this year, having debuted at the prestigious film festival in 2002. That same year, she gained widespread attention for her role as Paro in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.

Along with Aishwarya, Sobhita Dhulipala and Kiara Advani were also spotted at the airport, headed to Cannes. Both Sobhita and Kiara are expected to make their Cannes appearances soon.

Rajpal Yadav made his Cannes debut on May 16, with his film Kaam Chalu Hai set to be screened at the festival.
