'Brahmastra', starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, released in theatres on September 9. With the film, director Ayan Mukerji introduced the audience to the Astraverse. Just a day ahead of the film's theatrical release, the makers held a special screening for the fans in Mumbai. Both the lead actors and the director attended the special screening. After the movie screening, Ranbir aka 'Shiva' from 'Brahmastra' made a request to the fans where he asked them not to share the spoilers on social media.

A video has surfaced on social media where he can be heard saying 'So just one request. Jo bhi thode bahot spoilers hain is film ke (whatever spoilers are there in this film), please try not to put on social media. Because you know the audience who has not seen it would like to experience it.'

The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The film registered very strong numbers at the box office on its opening day. It collected ₹75 crores at the global box office, including a ₹47 domestic gross. Following a strong opening at the box office, many theatres introduced early morning shows and late-night shows due to the increased demand.
