Boney Kapoor confirms Janhvi Kapoor is dating Shikhar Pahariya: 'We are blessed to have him...'

Boney Kapoor is eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film ‘Maidaan,’ a sports drama starring Ajay Devgn as the late Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. In a recent interview, he addressed the topic of his daughter Janhvi Kapoor's rumored boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya.

Speaking with Zoom, Boney Kapoor said, ‘I love him (Shikhar) and in fact, in between a couple of years back Janhvi was not seeing him but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he can never be an ex. He’ll be around. When any person is there for you in any capacity whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. So I feel we’re blessed to have somebody like him in our set up.’

Janhvi Kapoor has not officially confirmed her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya, but she has been spotted with him on various occasions, including lunch and dinner dates. Most recently, Shikhar attended Khushi Kapoor’s birthday party, and the couple has also vacationed together in the Maldives. Shikhar was also present at Anil Kapoor’s birthday celebration. In addition, Janhvi, along with Shikhar and her close friend Orhan Awatramani, visited the Tirupati Temple on her 27th birthday. Several photos of the trio from the temple surfaced on the internet.

Who is Shikhar Pahariya?

Shikhar Pahariya, the grandson of politician and Maharashtra’s former Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, was reportedly in a serious relationship with Janhvi Kapoor in the past, but they later broke up. Their relationship was almost confirmed by Karan Johar in ‘Koffee With Karan’ season 7, but Janhvi then clarified that she was single. However, the duo reportedly reconciled last year. They are frequently seen together now, and Shikhar has been photographed with Boney Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor on several occasions.
