Birthday girl Janhvi Kapoor joins Ram Charan in Buchi Babu Sana’s directorial; here’s what we know

Janhvi Kapoor has more than one reason to celebrate today. The actor who turned 27 today has been roped in for Ram Charan’s next film. The makers of the film made the announcement on her birthday. Buchi Babu Sana will be directing this upcoming film.

The makers took to their social media handles to welcome Janhvi Kapoor onboard for RC 16 as they wished the birthday girl. “Welcoming the celestial beauty on board for #RC16 Happy Birthday to the mesmerizing @janhvikapoor.”

RC16 will be the first film of Ram Charan with Buchi Babu Sana as well. The film will also be Janhvi’s second Telugu project after ‘Devara’. While the makers have not revealed much details about RC16, a Pinkvilla report suggests that it will be a rural sports drama. A R Rahman will compose the music for the film.

Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor’s father, Boney Kapoor had revealed that Janhvi has bagged her next project opposite the ‘RRR’ star Ram Charan. The two actors were recently seen at the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Janhvi’s current projects

Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in a cameo appearance in Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. The actor is currently busy with Koratala Siva’s ‘Devara’ where she is sharing the screen with another ‘RRR’ actor Jr NTR. Besides, Janhvi also has ‘Dostana 2’ and ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ in the pipeline.

Ram Charan’s current projects

The Telugu superstar is currently filming for S Shankar’s ‘Game Changer’. The ‘RRR’ star will be seen with Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah and Jayaram in the film. The film is scheduled to be released later this year.
